There are (2) insurance coverage options for GoGetters:-
What does accidental death cover?
If the insured person suffers bodily injury and/or resulting in the death or permanent disability within 1 day or 1 month of incident date which is covered in the daily or monthly insurance policy period, Senang will pay according to the respective percentage of the capital sum as stated in the table of benefit.
What does medical expenses cover?
If the policy owner suffers bodily injury or incurs medical and surgical expenses within 1 day or 1 month from the incident date which occurs during the insurance policy period that is bought, Senang will reimburse the expenses incurred per accident up to the maximum amount stated in the policy schedule.
- The medical and surgical expenses shall be paid by the policy owner to a dentist, physician or hospital for treatment of bodily injury.
- Excluding the cost of dental treatment unless such treatment is for injury to sound and natural teeth.
When does the insurance come into effect?
Monthly Insurance Coverage:
It is applicable to the lives of all registered members of GoGet.my as a ‘GoGetter’ subject to the ones that have opted to purchase this insurance via the GoGetter mobile application. The monthly coverage is active for 30 days from the time you press "Start job" regardless of public holidays, weekends are taken into account. The insurance is only active and covers only during jobs that are carried out on the GoGetter mobile application.
Example: On 26 May 2020 at 2.30PM, you selected the monthly insurance option.
Scenario 1: On 26 May 2020 at 2.45PM, you claimed a job to be a promoter for 4 days and the working dates are 11 June 2020, 18 June 2020, 24 June 2020 and 12 July 2020 from 12PM to 8PM. You did not claim any job in between 26 May 2020 to 11 June 2020. On 11 June 2020 at 11AM, you pressed "Start job" when you are on the way to Sunway Pyramid for the promoter job. The insurance coverage has been activated and will end on 11 July 2020 at 10.59AM.
Scenario 2: On 26 May 2020 at 2.45PM, you claimed a dispatch job that starts at 4PM. The Poster cancelled the job at 3.15PM while you were still at home. You have not pressed "Start job". At 3.25PM, you claimed a dispatch job that starts in 15 minutes time, so you press "Claim and Start job". The insurance coverage has been activated and will end on 26 June 2020 at 3.24PM.
Daily Insurance Coverage:
Coverage shall start when you press "Start job" for an approved GoGet job in the GoGetter app after you purchased the insurance. Coverage will end upon the completion of the GoGet job(s) or at 11.59PM on the date of insurance coverage purchase, whichever is earlier.
Example:
You buy insurance on 26th May 2020 at 3.30PM, the insurance coverage will end upon the completion of the GoGet job(s) on 26th May 2020 or at 11.59PM, whichever is earlier. This daily insurance policy can be activated regardless of public holidays & weekends.
Scenario 1: You claimed a shopping job on 26th May 2020 at 2.30PM. The shopping job requires you to deliver the items at 6PM on the same day. You press "Start job" at 4.15PM when you are on the way to the supermarket to purchase items for the job. The insurance coverage will start at 4.15PM, when you press "Start job". You press "Complete job" on the GoGetter app after you delivered the item to Poster at 6PM and head home because you do not have another job for the day. Your insurance coverage ends at 6PM on 26th May 2020.
Scenario 2: You claimed a shopping job on 26th May 2020 at 2.30PM. The shopping job requires you to deliver the items at 6PM on the same day. You forgot to press "Start job" when you are on the way to the supermarket to purchase items for the job. You were involved in a road accident and you suffered a fractured leg. You will not be eligible to file a claim because you failed to press "Start job". The insurance coverage only starts when you press "Start job" on the GoGetter app.
Scenario 3: You claimed a dispatch job (Job A) on 26th May 2020 at 2.30PM and press "Start job" when you are on the way to the pick up point. You arrived at pick up point at 3PM and purchased the daily insurance at 3.30PM while waiting for the item to be ready for pick up. You claimed another dispatch job (Job B) and press "Start job" at 3.45PM. The insurance coverage is applicable only for Job B. Job A is not covered because you purchased the insurance after Job A has started.
Scenario 4: You claimed a job as warehouse helper for 3 days from 25 March to 27 March, 5PM to 10PM daily. On first day (25 March), you overlook to buy the insurance for the warehouse helper job. On second day (26 March), you decided to purchase the daily insurance option (at 3.30PM) before the job starts at 5PM. The insurance will not cover your warehouse helper job on 26 March because you have pressed "Start Job" on 25 March before you purchase the insurance.
Scenario 5: You claimed a job as warehouse helper for 3 days from 25 March to 27 March, 5PM to 10PM daily. You purchase daily insurance option on 25 March 4:00pm and press "Start job" at 4:30pm. You are covered for the shift of 25 March.
On 26 March, you proceed to repurchase daily insurance option at 4:00pm for your second shift. The insurance will not cover your shift on 26 March as the coverage is based on the time that you press "Start Job", which in this case was 25 March, during your first shift.
In order to get insurance coverage for Helper jobs with multiple shifts, please purchase the monthly option instead.
IMPORTANT:
- The insurance is only active and covers only during a job that is carried out on the GoGetter mobile application.
- You must press "Start Job” for the insurance coverage to commence.
- The insurance covers personal accident only (policy owner suffers bodily injury). The insurance does not cover damage of your vehicle.
